I do not have a perfect article for you to read (Maybe some of my followers can help me with an article they have found down the line) or a perfect book that I have read that tells you everything you need to know about how to be a feminist and what feminism means. I have been told this book by bell hooks is a wonderful book. My own words for you on your question if there are things you should know before you start calling yourself a feminist. I don’t have much to say to you right now. Maybe this can be an on going project for myself to write down words of advice for budding feminists but the few words of advice I have you now are.
Be aware of and understand whatever privileges you have. It will be an ongoing process that may take years and should honestly take you the rest of your life because bitch, check your privilege. Every time you are confronted with your privileges you should reflect and change your attitude.

Feminism is complicated. There are so many topics and subjects to cover when you learn about women’s oppression. Feminism is not just an American term. Women’s oppression is not just in America and should not just be thought about in a western lens. Think international. But be careful! To refer back to privileges, just because you don’t understand a cultures, religions etc traditions does not mean that you as a foreigner can come in a judge what oppression is and isn’t.
To piggy back off what I just said. NEVER speak for other people. let people speak for themselves. If your wondering well what if im talking to my parents about __ and Im not a ___ but I want to make the point that ___ say __ about ___ . “Quotes” are here for a reason. Use the words of people who struggle to get theirs heard to make a point. Do research and if you think you might be wrong go back and check. There is no hurt in checking your sources ;)
This comes from gender studies femmekitty. There is no one way to be a woman. Question what it means to be a woman. what is a woman (if there is an answer to that question) what is gender. what is sex. why do all of these things matter? Ask yourself these questions. My last word of advice are coming from Femmekitty the sociologist. Question what society has told you. You may end up believing in what society has told you but first question what ever it is that you believe. Questioning it helps you understand why you believe in something. Know why you believe in something. Why do you think you are a feminist?
Because you believe women are not treated with the dignity and respect they deserve? Because woman deserve equal rights? or FUCK patriarchy! There are an abundance of answers to that question. When you can give one answer and also say, I want this to change and I will help this change, then you are a feminist.

Chores…
1. Clean out all the bowls in all the pet cages
2. make sure the ratties dont die from heat exhastion
3. Clean out the fridge
4. make meals and dont snack all day
part of me thinks its so cute the ratties are all just laying around their cage and not in the hammock but then i remember its because they are to hot :(
I want all my babies to be confortable
